🥣 Ingredients
- 500 grams of phyllo dough
- 250 grams of butter
- 300 grams of crushed walnuts
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- 2 cups of water
- A few drops of lemon juice

Prepare the Syrup:
Boil sugar and water. After boiling, add lemon juice and boil for another 10 minutes. Let it cool. -
Prepare the Dough:
Grease the tray. Layer half of the phyllo sheets in the tray, brushing butter between each layer. -
Add the Filling:
Evenly sprinkle the crushed walnuts over the layered dough. -
Add the Remaining Dough:
Add the remaining sheets the same way, buttering each layer. -
Slice and Bake:
Slice the baklava. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) until golden brown. -
Pour the Syrup:
Pour the cooled syrup over the hot baklava right after it comes out of the oven. Let it rest to absorb the syrup.
